Experience:

Ms. Chusid has practiced Trusts and Estates and Real Estate in New York City for more than 20 years. She is experienced in all aspects of Trusts and Estates law, including estate planning: drafting Wills and Trusts, Living Wills, Health Care Proxies and General Powers of Attorney. She has significant tax experience – she prepares federal and New York estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates and Surrogate’s court accountings. She handles probate and assists families in administering and distributing estates. She has performed numerous real estate closings, including cooperative and condominium apartments.

Ms. Chusid’s practice focuses on the middle income client who wishes to utilize the services of an attorney at a reasonable cost.  She personally handles and explains in detail all aspects of her work. 

Ms. Chusid also volunteers for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, plays the flute and does occasional background work in TV/film. 

Education:

Ms. Chusid has a B.A. (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) in Anthropology and Psychology from the University at Albany; an M.A. in Anthropology and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
